Overview

The 9Pic AI MCP server lets an AI assistant work on your 9Pic account for you. Connect it once, sign in with your dashboard account, then ask in plain language: “Which of my events are still in draft?”, “Import the photos from this Google Drive folder”, or “Publish the city marathon gallery.” MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Cursor, VS Code and many other AI apps use to connect to other products. 9Pic AI runs one hosted server that every one of these apps can use.
Server address: https://mcp.9pic.ai/mcpYou only need this address for apps where you add a custom connector. In ChatGPT, install the published 9Pic AI plugin instead.

Choose Your App

ChatGPT and Codex

Install the published 9Pic AI plugin from the ChatGPT plugin directory, or add the server to Codex.

Claude and Claude Code

Add a custom connector in Claude on the web or desktop, or one command in Claude Code.

Grok

Add 9Pic AI as a custom connector at grok.com.

Cursor, VS Code and More

Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Meta Muse and any other app that supports remote MCP servers.

What You Can Do

The assistant uses the same organisations, events and permissions you have in the dashboard. See Tools and Safeguards for every action and what it changes.

How Sign-In Works

1

Add 9Pic AI to your assistant

Install the ChatGPT plugin, or add https://mcp.9pic.ai/mcp as a custom connector in your app.
2

Sign in on the 9Pic page

Your assistant opens the 9Pic sign-in page. Log in with the same account you use at admin.9pic.ai and approve the access request.
3

Ask for your organisations

Back in the assistant, ask “List my 9Pic AI organisations.” If you belong to several, tell the assistant which one to use. It never guesses.
You never type your 9Pic password into the chat, and the assistant never asks for it. The connection does not use Developer Zone API keys. You can disconnect at any time from your assistant’s connector settings. The access request covers three permissions:

Safeguards

Processing spends credits. Processing uses 1 credit per photo when BIB search or selfie search is on. The assistant always shows a preview first, with the number of photos and the credits that will be used, and only starts after you confirm.
  • Publishing is explicit. Publishing makes a gallery available to participants. Moving it back to draft stops participant access but keeps photos and settings.
  • No purchases. The connection never buys credits, changes your plan or opens a checkout. Credits and plans stay in the dashboard.
  • Your permissions only. The assistant can only reach organisations and events your dashboard role allows. Pending invitations do not count until you accept them.
  • No participant data in chat. The tools return event details, counts, settings, status and aggregate analytics. They never return participants’ photos or selfie search results.

Plans

The MCP server works on every plan, including Trial. What the assistant can do depends on your plan and credits, exactly as in the dashboard:
  • Photo processing needs enough credits. See Credits.
  • Engagement analytics are included from the Pro plan upward and are not part of Trial.
  • Trial events stay private.
  • Custom plans are usually set up for one event. Creating another event stops with a message to contact 9Pic AI, who can raise the limit.

Not Available Through MCP

Some settings stay in the dashboard at admin.9pic.ai:
  • Photo watermarks, gallery branding and event location
  • Buying credits or changing plans
  • Team members and invitations
  • 9Pic Checkout, Flow, Buzz, Certify and Select setup
  • Deleting events or photos

Common Questions

No. The MCP server is for organisers who want an AI assistant to run their account, and it uses your normal dashboard sign-in. The 9Pic API is for developers building their own apps, and it uses API keys from Developer Zone.
Yes. You can connect ChatGPT, Claude and Grok at the same time. Each keeps its own sign-in and acts with your permissions.
Yes. Each team member connects their own assistant and signs in with their own 9Pic account, so everyone keeps their own role.
No. The connection is for organisers and their teams. Participants keep finding their photos in the event gallery with selfie or BIB search.
Disconnect or remove 9Pic AI in your assistant’s connector settings. Access stops straight away.
