Overview

Credits power all the AI features in 9Pic AI. Every time you process photos or run AI Image Rotation, credits are used to do the work. Think of credits like tokens at an arcade: you purchase them once, and then use them as you need throughout your events.
Credits are shared across all events in your organisation. You don’t need to buy credits separately for each event.

What Are Credits Used For?

Credits are consumed when you use these features:
FeatureWhat it doesCredits Used
Photo ProcessingAutomatic detection and indexing of event photos, including bib number recognition and face detection1 credit per photo
AI Image RotationAutomatically rotates photos to the correct orientation using AI1 credit per photo
Usage is simple: 1 photo = 1 credit. For example, processing an event with 1,000 photos will utilize exactly 1,000 credits.

Transaction History

Every time credits are added or used, it’s recorded in your transaction history. This helps you track exactly where your credits are going.

What You’ll See in Transaction History

The transaction table shows:
  • Type: What happened (Usage, Purchase, Admin Grant, Free Credits, or Refund)
  • Credits: How many credits were added (+) or used (-)
  • Event: Which event used the credits (for usage transactions)
  • Event ID: The unique identifier for the event
  • User: Who performed the action
  • Date: When it happened

Transaction Types Explained

Credits were consumed by Photo Processing or AI Image Rotation. The Event column shows which event used the credits.
Credits you bought through support. These will show ”+[number]” in green.
Free credits added by the 9Pic team, usually for testing or as a courtesy.
Promotional or trial credits added to your account.
Credits returned to your account, usually if there was an issue with processing.

Viewing Specific Event Usage

To see which event consumed credits, click on the event name in the transaction history. This will take you to that event’s details page where you can see all the photos processed.

Monthly Usage Summary

The Credits page shows a summary of the current month and the last 3 months, including:
  • Usage: Total credits consumed
  • Credits Added: Total credits purchased or granted
  • Net: The difference (credits added minus credits used)
  • Transaction Count: Number of transactions for that month
The current month is highlighted with a blue border and “Current” badge.
Use the monthly summary to predict your future credit needs. If you notice consistent monthly usage, you can plan ahead and purchase credits in bulk.
