Why This Matters

Going Pro changes more than the badge in your dashboard. Three concrete things flip on the moment your payment is finalised — knowing them up front saves you from second-guessing where features moved.

What Flips On When Pro Goes Live

Your account goes live

Trial accounts run on trial.9pic.ai and are forced to private events. The moment Pro is finalised, your domain is upgraded to app.9pic.ai (or your custom subdomain) and you can flip events to public.

Setup Guide becomes a real wizard

The Setup Guide that said “Available on Pro and Enterprise” during your trial now lists website-customisation steps: theme color, logo, favicon, footer, contact form, GTM, header CTA, and team invite.

Creative tools unlock

9Pic Certify, Flow, Select, Buzz, and Motion all become available on Pro. Some are enabled by request — see What’s Unlocked for the exact list.

Annual expiry begins

Your subscription is valid for 365 days from the day Pro is finalised. The expiry date appears on Credits → Subscription Details.

What Stays the Same

Going Pro is an upgrade, not a re-platform — most things you set up during your trial carry forward.
What carries overNotes
All your events and their photosTrial event data is preserved exactly.
Your team members and rolesPending invites are still valid.
Your credit balanceWhatever credits were left on your trial account remain, plus any extras you bought during the Pro upgrade.
AI search quality (FaceFind, BibTrack)Identical models, identical accuracy.
Email support response standardSame as it was on the trial.
If you upgraded from a trial, the dashboard shows a “Your Account is Now Live” banner on your first Credits visit. That’s the cue your domain has moved to app.9pic.ai (or your chosen branded subdomain) and your events can go public.

What Pro Does Not Include

Don’t waste time hunting for these — they are Enterprise-only, by design.
FeatureWhy it’s Enterprise-only
9Pic Checkout (sell event photos online)Requires a payment gateway, refund handling, and tax setup that need direct configuration with our team.
Custom payment gateway (Razorpay / Stripe with your keys)Tied to Checkout.
Developer Zone (API keys, webhooks)Requires usage caps and SLA negotiation.
If any of these is a hard requirement, jump straight to Talk to Us about Enterprise.
If you see Checkout, Payment Config, or Developer Zone copy elsewhere in the dashboard or this docs site, treat it as Enterprise-only — it is not included on Pro.

How to Think About Your Year on Pro

Pro is a predictable annual cost for the subscription, plus pay-as-you-go credits for AI processing on each event. Two practical implications:
  1. Front-load the setup. Do branding, domain, and team invites in the first 30 minutes. Every event after that inherits the work.
  2. Plan credits per event, not per month. Your credits do not “reset” monthly — they’re a single balance, used at $0.02 per processed photo. See Credits & Top-ups for the budgeting math.

Common Questions

No. The moment you complete the Pro purchase, the dashboard upgrades your account, sets your expiry to 365 days from today, and unlocks Pro features. There is no separate switch to flip.
No. Trial events, photos, and team members all carry forward to Pro untouched. The only thing that changes is your domain and your plan label.
On the trial, the wizard had two starter steps (Create your first event, Choose a plan). On Pro, those go away and the website-customisation steps appear. Both flows are driven by the same SetupGuide page in bi_dash.
No. Selling photos through 9Pic Checkout is Enterprise-only. If your business model depends on selling photos, talk to us about Enterprise.
Your gallery is served from the default app.9pic.ai domain. Setting up a yourname.9pic.ai platform subdomain (no DNS work) or a photos.yourbrand.com custom domain (CNAME + ~48h SSL) is recommended but not required.
