Why This Matters

Most Pro customers should stay on Pro. The honest path is to confirm Pro is enough rather than to chase Enterprise reflexively. This page is the unbiased comparison: what genuinely changes on Enterprise, what doesn’t, and the situations where the conversation is actually worth having.

The Big Difference: 9Pic Checkout

The single biggest reason to move from Pro to Enterprise is 9Pic Checkout — selling event photos online to participants. Pro does not include Checkout. Enterprise does.
Don’t try to fake Checkout on Pro. Pasting external “buy” links into your gallery breaks refund handling, tax compliance, and the per-participant delivery flow. If selling photos is core to your business, Enterprise’s integrated Checkout is the right path.

Side-by-Side Feature Comparison

When Enterprise is Genuinely Worth It

Reach out for an Enterprise conversation if any of these is a hard requirement:
  • You need to sell event photos to attendees online. This is the canonical Enterprise use case. Pro will never offer Checkout.
  • You need to use your own payment gateway (your Razorpay account, your Stripe account, your accounting setup). Pro uses 9Pic’s centralised gateway; Enterprise lets you plug in your own.
  • You need API keys to embed 9Pic photo search into your own apps or marketing site. Pro does not include the Developer Zone.
  • You’re running events at a scale where flat-rate credit pricing doesn’t make sense. If you’re processing several hundred thousand photos per year, it’s worth a 30-minute call.
  • You need event-level access control (per-event admins, restricted external photographers per event). Pro only supports organisation-wide Admin / User roles.
  • You need a contractual SLA for event-day uptime. Pro uses our standard support response times; Enterprise can negotiate stronger guarantees.

When Pro is Enough

Stay on Pro if:
  • You run events for a sponsor / brand / federation that already pays for the photo coverage.
  • Photos are a participant freebie (no payment from the participant side).
  • You don’t have the operational capacity to manage your own payment gateway, refunds, or tax handling.
  • You’re under ~50,000 processed photos per year (the Pay-As-You-Go credit math is favourable in this range).
  • You don’t need to embed 9Pic search in your own apps.
That’s the majority of paying customers. Pro is the right plan for most.

A Quick Cost Sanity Check

These calculations assume cost_per_credit = \$0.02 and Pro’s pro.included_credits = 0 defaults. Confirm the live pricing on Credits → Purchase Credits before relying on the math.

Common Questions

Yes. Email support@9pic.ai and we’ll handle the plan transition. Events, photos, branding, custom domain, team members, and credit balance all carry forward. Schedule the move outside an event window.
Once you’re on Enterprise, Checkout is per-event — you decide which events sell photos and which don’t. Pro has no such option because Checkout simply isn’t available.
No. FaceFind and BibTrack accuracy are identical across all paid plans. Pro and Enterprise differ on platform features, not AI quality.
Free trials of Enterprise aren’t routine, but if you have a real upcoming event that needs Checkout or API access, talk to us — we’ll figure out an evaluation path.
Email support@9pic.ai and tell us. The Developer Zone is currently Enterprise-only, but API access for specific Pro use cases is something we can talk about case by case.
