# Trial Checklist

> Eight things worth testing in your trial before you decide

## Why This Matters

The trial is too short to test everything 9Pic does. This page is a focused, eight-item checklist of the features that **typically decide** whether 9Pic fits an organiser. Run through it once before you upgrade and you'll have a confident answer.

## Before You Begin

* You finished [Run Your First Event](/trial-guide/first-event) and your trial event is **Live**.
* The event has at least **20-50 photos** processed (so search has something to find).
* You're an **admin** of the organisation.

<Tip>
  Print or copy this checklist into a doc. Tick items off as you confirm each one — that's the artefact you take into your team's "should we upgrade?" conversation.
</Tip>

## The Checklist

<Steps>
  <Step title="1. Upload speed feels right">
    Use **9Pic Uplink** or your cloud source to push photos. Upload should keep up with a normal photographer's workflow on event day.

    **Test it:** Upload 50 photos in one go. They should all appear in **Image Sources** within a few minutes.

    Reference: [Photos Overview](/dashboard-guide/photos/overview).
  </Step>

  <Step title="2. AI search finds the right photos">
    On the participant view, search by **selfie** (FaceFind) and by **BIB number** (BibTrack, running events only).

    **Test it:** Use a clear selfie of someone in your photos. Search should return their photos with high precision. If running, type a known BIB number — search should return that participant's photos.

    Reference: [Test Photo Search](/trial-guide/test-photo-search), [AI Analysis](/dashboard-guide/photos/ai-analysis).
  </Step>

  <Step title="3. Branding looks like your event">
    From the event's **Details** page, open **Branding**. Set the cover image, banner, and colours so the participant page looks like your event, not generic 9Pic.

    **Test it:** Open the participant link in an incognito window. Cover image, colours, and event name should all match what you set.

    Reference: [Photos - Branding](/dashboard-guide/photos/branding), [Settings - Branding](/dashboard-guide/settings/branding).
  </Step>

  <Step title="4. Watermark protects your photos">
    On the event's **Configuration** tab, set a **9Pic Stamp** watermark before processing.

    **Test it:** Download a single photo from the participant view. The watermark should be present on the delivered photo.

    Reference: [Photos - Configuration](/dashboard-guide/photos/configuration).
  </Step>

  <Step title="5. Bulk download works for participants">
    On the **Create New Event** form (or the event's settings later), turn on **Bulk Download**.

    **Test it:** From the participant view, search for a participant and use **Download All**. The download should arrive as a ZIP within a reasonable time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="6. Analytics show real activity">
    Once a few people have used the public link, check the **Analytics** section.

    **Test it:** Have 2-3 teammates open the participant link and run a search. Within 15-30 minutes, those visits should show up in the dashboard's analytics views.

    Reference: [Analytics](/dashboard-guide/analytics).
  </Step>

  <Step title="7. Team workflow is sustainable">
    Invite at least one teammate. Confirm both of you can find the same event, run processing, and see results.

    **Test it:** Have your teammate add a new source folder, run **Sync Images**, and confirm the new photos appear without needing your help.

    Reference: [Share with Your Team](/trial-guide/share-with-team), [Team Guide](/dashboard-guide/team).
  </Step>

  <Step title="8. Pricing fits your event volume">
    Multiply your typical event size by the per-photo Pay As You Go rate, and compare against the Pro annual subscription.

    **Test it:** Take your last 3 events' photo counts, calculate cost on Pay As You Go, and compare to Pro.

    Reference: [Compare Plans](/trial-guide/compare-plans).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Items You Cannot Test on the Trial

These are gated until you upgrade. If they matter to your decision, see [Talk to Us](/trial-guide/talk-to-us) — some can be enabled on request for a serious evaluation.

  **Beta** features (Checkout, Flow) and **enabled-by-request** features (Buzz, Certify, Select) may need a quick email to support before they show up in the dashboard. Don't assume they're not working — confirm with [support@9pic.ai](mailto:support@9pic.ai) first.

## Common Questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need to do all 8 in one sitting?">
    No. The checklist is a list of evidence — collect it over the trial period at your own pace.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do these tests use my trial credits?">
    Photo processing (sync + process) consumes credits. Branding, downloads, analytics, and team invites do not. Plan one full processing run on your test event, and you'll have plenty of credits left for the rest.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I extend my trial if I run out of time?">
    Email [support@9pic.ai](mailto:support@9pic.ai) and explain what you still need to verify. We routinely extend trials for organisers who are seriously evaluating.
